CHENNAI: Customs officials have confiscated drugs worth Rs 100 crore smuggled to Chennai.
From Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, the Ethiopian plane arrived in Chennai on the 11th. It was reported that a male passenger was smuggling drugs on this flight. Subsequently, the authorities searched the passenger, identified as Iqbal Pasha, 38, and his belongings.
At that time, the drugs hidden in his possession were found and found to be 9.590 kg of cocaine and its value is 100 crore rupees. The customs officers seized the drug and arrested the passenger and interrogated him.
