A few years back, Hyderabadi rapper Ruhaan Arshad, who made waves on the internet with his rap song ‘Miya Bhai’, announced his retirement from music. Ruhan made the announcement while sharing a video on his YouTube channel. Ruhan Arshad has announced on his YouTube channel that he is leaving the music industry after realizing that ‘music is haram in Islam’.

The rapper shared the video on November 11 on his YouTube channel, Ruhan Arshad Official. In his YouTube video, Ruhan says that he made this big decision according to the “guidance” from Allah.

“I am just happy with my decision and have not given it a second thought. I forbid myself from doing anything related to music. I know that music is a sin in Islam. I had the desire and desire to do it. So I did it. I am very thankful that music has helped me to build a career and fame out of nothing, ”Ruhan said in the video.

“I am sure God will help me to do something else in life. But I will not stop uploading content on YouTube, ”Ruhan added.

Ruhan Arshad became popular in 2019 after releasing the rap song ‘Mia Bhai’. This video has received over 500 million views. Ruhan’s last upload on YouTube was ‘Apna Daur Aayega’. The rap highlights the difficulties Ruhan faced after Mia Bhai’s victory. The 21-year-old also worked with Bollywood star Salman Khan for the video song ‘Bhai Bhai’ which was released in May last year.

Ruhan is not the first person to give up film and music to follow religious rules. Cyrus Waseem, who starred in ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’, has also announced on Instagram that she will end her film career in 2019. In a six-page note, the actress said, “Bollywood has alienated me from Islam.” Despite her fame and success, she made it clear that she was not happy with her job.
