The Cœur Briant merchants association is organizing the first edition of the Foulées Bleues, a sporting and solidarity event, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique).

The event aims to raise public awareness in the fight against colorectal cancer and is open to participants of all fitness levels.

“We want an event that brings people together and does good, both for the body and for the cause,” the association stated.

Participants will have the opportunity to run or walk a circuit that winds through several of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, including the castle, the Duc d’Aumale promenade, Choisel, and the town hall. The route is designed to be both scenic and enjoyable, offering a moment of conviviality for all involved.

Course Details and Organization

The start of all events will be located at the Duc d’Aumale, with the finish line planned for the Esplanade des Terrasses. “This route enhances the city center and offers a moment of conviviality,” according to the Cœur Briant association.

Participants, whether running solo or with family, friends, or colleagues, are encouraged to progress at their own pace. “Participating in the Foulées Bleues means running or walking for yourself, but above all for others,” the association added.

Registration Information and Race Schedule

Online registration is currently open, but spaces are limited. The registration fee is €15 per person for both runs and walks, and €5 for the children’s race.

— 10 km course: 9:50 a.m.
— 10 km walk: 10:45 a.m.
— 5 km walk: 11 a.m.
— Les Petits Bleus: 12 p.m.

Raising Awareness and Future Plans

The event is accessible to everyone and aims to raise public awareness about the importance of colorectal cancer prevention. The organizers hope to establish the Foulées Bleues as an annual tradition in Châteaubriant.
