During the 17th meeting of the commission on trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Iran, agreements were concluded in the oil and gas industries, including the signing of several documents on cooperation, Day.Az reports.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Alexander Novak, announced the signing of a protocol on amendments to the road map of scientific and technical cooperation in the oil and gas industries, aimed at standardizing equipment.

It was also announced a planned agreement between the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “NAMI” and the Iranian company “Pishran Sanat Modares” in the field of automotive industry, in order to improve the dialogue on issues of equipment certification.

Novak noted that industrial cooperation between Russia and Iran is actively developing in various fields, such as pharmaceuticals, aircraft manufacturing and shipbuilding. He also emphasized the existence of cooperation in the pharmaceutical field, including joint production of medicines.

The parties signed a number of documents on cooperation in the field of geological exploration, petrochemicals, healthcare and education.
