The membership of Zayed Khan, the three-time elected general secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association, has been cancelled. The announcement was made at the organization’s annual general meeting held on Saturday (March 2).
But Zayed Khan has not yet received any letter in this regard. This hero said, ‘I have not received any letter in this regard yet. First I get the letter and then I can say why they did this.’
Zayed Khan will take action in this regard. Informing that, he said, ‘I am a victim of a person’s anger. In Shilpi Samiti he is taking all decisions on his own. I was required to at least be given an opportunity to defend myself before the decision to cancel my membership. That was not done either. Nothing was reported. I will take the next step by talking to my seniors in the film industry.
The announcement of the general meeting said, “Mr. Zayed Khan, without any organizational weakness, has continuously published false, fabricated, ugly fictional stories in the name of the general secretary of the film artists’ association, in the press conference, YouTube, Facebook and social media, in the meeting held on 02/04/2023. The membership of Mr. Zayed Khan has been canceled unanimously.’
