The Hero of Russia Nikolai Makarovets Award was established in 2020 by the Rostec state corporation. The award is awarded for achievements in the field of creating products for military and civilian purposes. The organizing committee includes representatives of the Military-Industrial Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rostec and Technodinamika, as well as the governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin. The expert council includes representatives of the ammunition and special chemicals industry, leading experts and scientists. This year, the expert council received 110 applications.
