Russia is considering withdrawing from Harson Zelensky: “It may be a trap”

by time news

The deputy governor of Kherson district, appointed to the position by the Russian regime, has warned the residents of Kherson district in recent days that Russia may soon withdraw from the district, and this would be a “disaster for the region”. Putin’s attempt to put another 300,000 conscripts into the battlefield has failed miserably

The deputy governor of Kherson district says that the residents must evacuate the area as quickly as possible, so that they will not be harmed upon the arrival of the Ukrainian forces. But even though in Russia they are trying to convey messages according to which the Russian army intends to withdraw from the occupied region, the president of Ukraine Zelensky is not in a hurry to get excited and warns that it may be a trap.

Senior Ukrainian officials explain that from the information they have, it appears that Russia continues an accelerated activity of evacuating civilians from Harson, and at the same time Russian military forces are taking over apartments that have been evacuated. “It seems that they are preparing for a prolonged house-to-house battle and are preparing the ground for the arrival of the Ukrainian forces,” they claim.

For now, it seems that Ukraine has no intention of speeding up the attempt to liberate Kherson, and after having succeeded in significantly damaging the ability of the Russian army to move equipment and supplies to the district, the Ukrainians are waiting for the moment of opportunity to launch a broad attack as they did in Kharkiv district.

At the same time, a situational assessment of the British intelligence concerning the fighting in Ukraine was published yesterday. According to the updated assessment of the situation, Putin’s attempt to introduce another 300,000 conscripts into the battlefield according to the official version, and close to a million new conscripts according to unofficial reports – has been an abject failure.

In the assessment of the situation, it is claimed that the new soldiers barely affect the campaign, and this is because they lack military experience, and were not trained before being thrown onto the battlefield. The British claim that only a minority of the Russian soldiers undergo training, and even they receive basic training with sparse and scant training that is insufficient to make them a meaningful fighting force.

According to the British, the reason why Russia does not train the new recruits is mainly due to the fact that it does not have officers capable of instructing. This is after all the experienced training officers, or at least most of them, were sent to Ukraine to command the forces, and some of them were killed or wounded, while the others are needed to continue commanding the forces on the front, which also suffer from a lack of experienced commanders who can set goals and conduct themselves in a reasonable military manner.
