The troops arrived in the Ukrainian capital after conducting airstrikes on cities and military bases across the country. An Air India flight bound for Romania to repatriate Indians stranded in Ukraine has returned to Mumbai with Indian nationals. The flight will arrive at Mumbai Airport at 4 pm.
A new video of Ukrainian President Selensky has been released as Russian troops move into the capital. A video has surfaced in which he addresses people saying that he is in Kiev and will fight to the end. This was after the news came that the President had moved to the bunker.
Meanwhile, Russia on Friday vetoed a draft resolution of the UN Security Council condemning the Ukrainian occupation. The resolution condemned Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and called for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.
Meanwhile, countries such as China, India and the UAE abstained. The remaining 11 councilors voted in favor. The draft resolution is expected to be considered by the 193-member UN General Assembly.

Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Ukrainian military to end its resistance and turn against its leaders. Speaking at a Security Council meeting on Friday, Putin claimed that most Ukrainian forces were reluctant to engage with Russian forces.
He said the groups demanding the defense were mainly volunteer battalions comprising “right-wing Ukrainian nationalists.” However, he did not present any evidence to support his arguments.
