by time news

We are talking about modest amounts – $ 137,600 over the past year, since the scope of application of such technologies is still limited by the scientific environment. The situation will change with the start of commercial production in deep-water zones, experts say.

The underwater Internet of Things (IoT) system allows receiving data from sensor devices and controlled devices, which are used, for example, to inspect objects at depth or to search for potentially dangerous objects. In Russia, it is being developed by the Laboratory of Underwater Communication and Navigation (LPSN), a member of the Marinet NTI market. Over the past year, complexes of the underwater Internet of Things have been delivered to the United States, Great Britain, Norway, Spain and Switzerland, NTI told Vedomosti. The export volume in 2020 amounted to $ 137,600, in 2019 it was about $ 82,500.
