The Crime Branch told the court that complete planning was done for the firing at Galaxy Apartment on the morning of Sunday, April 14. Accused Vicky and Sagar had reached there by bike after several days of recce. He fired four bullets at once and fled away. After escaping from Mumbai, both of them reached Kutch in Gujarat and meanwhile they changed clothes thrice in a single day. To avoid being identified, Vicky and Sagar left the bike abandoned near a church in Bandra just after the firing and changed clothes there for the first time. After this he changed clothes in Santa Cruz area and then in Surat. He tried his best to change his appearance.

Shooters seen buying helmets in CCTV footage

The Crime Branch has said in the court that out of the nine people whose testimony has been taken so far in the case, the statements of two have been taken before the Magistrate under Section 164 of CrPC. Some important clues have been found in the interrogation and statements so far. CCTV footage of the place from where the shooters had purchased helmets to carry out the crime has been recovered as evidence.

Out of this, 5 bullets were fired. Four bullets hit Galaxy Apartment, while one fell on the road itself. Police have recovered 17 cartridges from the shooters. While the search for the remaining 18 bullets is going on.

Lawyer said- It is necessary to investigate where the shooters got funding from.

The government lawyer representing the police in the court said that the police is now investigating the funding of both the accused. The government lawyer said, ‘Both these accused are residents of Bihar. We have to find out who gave betel nut to both of them and where the money came from. Both of them had no personal enmity with Salman Khan. In such a situation, we have to find out who gave them the order. We are also investigating who were the people from Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana who were in contact with them and how?

There was a third person with whom Vicky and Sagar used to talk.

According to the police, accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal had two mobile phones. But so far only one phone has been recovered. The search is on for the second one. There was also a third person in this entire incident with whom he was in contact through mobile. These people were using internet using some WiFi and calls were being made through that.

The lawyer of the accused requested the court

On the other hand, the lawyer of the accused told the court that Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal are cooperating in the investigation. He has already said that he had received orders only to scare by firing at Galaxy Apartment. His intention was not to kill anyone. Whatever information both of them had, they have shared with the police. The lawyer demanded that both the accused shooters be sent to judicial custody.

Police said – this is an international racket, Panvel Farmhouse was also the target

On this, the Crime Branch said that both the accused were staying at a distance of 10 kilometers from Salman Khan’s Panvel Farm House. This raises suspicion that a farm house was also their target. This is an international racket, which also has connections with Bihar and Gujarat. We want to expand the scope of our investigation. In such a situation, we need more time for inquiry. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court ordered to extend the police remand of Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal till April 29.
