Samsung Unveils Revolutionary 130-inch Micro RGB TV at CES 2026

Samsung has redefined the boundaries of home entertainment with the debut of its largest and most ambitious television yet – a 130-inch Micro RGB model unveiled at CES 2026. The new television, designated the R95H, isn’t simply a larger screen; it’s a showcase of cutting-edge display technology, sophisticated industrial design, and advanced artificial intelligence features, signaling the direction of Samsung’s high-end TV strategy.

While the expansive size of the R95H places it outside the scope of typical living rooms, Samsung emphasizes that this launch is about demonstrating the future of its display roadmap, rather than pursuing mass-market sales.

Micro RGB: A Leap Beyond Existing Display Technologies

At the heart of the R95H lies Micro RGB technology, a significant departure from conventional television displays. Unlike LCD TVs that rely on backlights or OLED panels utilizing organic compounds, Micro RGB employs microscopic self-emissive red, green, and blue LEDs. “This allows the R95H to cover 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut,” stated a company release, “which is wider than what current consumer OLED and Mini-LED TVs can deliver.” This broader color spectrum promises a more vibrant and realistic viewing experience.

To maximize the potential of the Micro RGB panel, Samsung has integrated its new Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, alongside Color Booster Pro and HDR Pro processing technologies. These systems work in concert to preserve color accuracy while simultaneously enhancing contrast and shadow detail, even at peak brightness levels. A glare-free coating further ensures image clarity in brightly lit environments.

Design as Integration: The “Timeless Frame”

Samsung is redefining the television’s role in the home with the R95H’s design, dubbed the “Timeless Frame.” The intention is to move beyond the traditional “black rectangle” aesthetic, presenting the screen as a floating gallery window. The frame seamlessly integrates spatial audio hardware, specifically tuned for the display’s size, eliminating the need for external speakers and allowing sound to dynamically track on-screen action.

This design philosophy reflects Samsung’s broader effort to integrate large TVs more organically into architectural spaces, transforming them from standalone electronics into integral elements of interior design.

AI-Powered Features Enhance the Viewing Experience

The R95H is equipped with Samsung’s updated Vision AI Companion, an on-device assistant that extends beyond basic voice control. The AI can provide contextual information about on-screen content, suggest recipes inspired by cooking shows, and curate music or program recommendations based on viewing habits.

Samsung is also introducing specialized AI modes, including AI Soccer Mode Pro, which optimizes picture and sound for a stadium-like experience, and an AI Sound Controller Pro that allows viewers to independently adjust commentary, crowd noise, and background audio.

Long-Term Support and the 2026 TV Lineup

Samsung is backing the premium R95H with a commitment to long-term software support, promising seven years of updates to its Tizen-based interface. The TV also supports HDR10+ Advanced and the company’s Eclipsa spatial audio system.

The 130-inch Micro RGB TV is the flagship of Samsung’s refreshed 2026 lineup, which also includes a slimmer OLED S95H and a new Freestyle+ portable projector. While these additional models are expected to be more accessible to a wider audience, the R95H remains the centerpiece of Samsung’s presence at CES 2026.

Currently, Samsung has not announced pricing or availability details for the R95H or any other models within its 2026 TV lineup.
