The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra represents Samsung’s first entry bearing the “Ultra” moniker within its foldable portfolio. Designed for maximum productivity, the flagship booklet-style device pairs an expansive 8-inch main display with a remarkably thin profile measuring 4.1 millimetres thick when unfolded and weighing 215 grams.
Samsung engineered the hardware using proprietary Flex Titanium technology, combining a titanium-alloy film with an enhanced titanium plate. This structure strengthens display support, absorbs impact, and minimizes crease visibility over time while refining hinge mechanics and display tension. Under the hood, the device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor for Galaxy and a 5,000mAh battery.

The cover screen utilizes a 10:16 aspect ratio.
Weighing just 201 grams, the Fold8 ranks as the lightest Galaxy Z Fold yet. It packs a 4,800mAh battery designed to deliver more than 26 hours of video playback. Content creators also gain access to tools like My FanCam, which automatically reframes videos around a selected subject within the Gallery app.

For consumers hesitant to pay retail prices for the new hardware, telecommunications providers have rolled out aggressive subsidy packages. In the United States, AT&T is offering the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for free to customers who meet specific carrier requirements. Buyers must purchase the phone on a 36-month, 0% APR installment plan, activate or upgrade on the carrier’s Premium 2.0 unlimited plan, and trade in an eligible smartphone worth at least $290.
