Time.news – Singers in the competition, co-hosts by draw for two evenings and an opinion poll jury replaced by that of the radios: these are the main novelties of the 74th edition of the San Remo Festival which will be broadcast on Raiuno from 6 to 10 February next. The conductor and artistic director revealed them this morning Amadeus with a video shot while on vacation in the mountains and aired on the 1.30pm edition of Tg1.
Tomorrow will be regulation online of the 2024 edition of the festival. “First of all, on the first evening, Tuesday 6 February, you will hear all the songs in the competition”, began the presenter. “The other two evenings, Wednesday and Thursday, the songs will be divided: therefore, half Wednesday and half Thursday, but – attention – news.
The singers who will not sing on Wednesday will be the co-hosts of the Sanremo Festival: they will present their colleagues through a draw that will take place in the morning in the press room”. “On Thursday the same thing will happen in reverse”, continued Amadeus.
“Friday cover night, where the singers will be accompanied by an artist, unless there are already two or more singers in the competition, in which case they will not need an additional person to accompany them; and they will be able to sing any national song and of any era, even their own songs up to December 31, 2023 of this year”.
“Saturday evening finale with the podium with the first 5: from there we will find out who will be the winning song of the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival”, added the conductor. “The latest news concerning the juries: in addition to televoting, in addition to the press room, there will be the radio jury which replaces the opinion poll . Then, the radio jury, made up of national radios, regional or local radios, which will truly have a very important role”.
