The home team started at the top. After just six minutes, Blondel hit hard from medium distance to Rafael’s good defense. At eight, Luciatti took a risk from inside the tricolor area, for another intervention by the São Paulo goalkeeper.
The first good arrival of São Paulo happened in the tenth minute. Michel Araujo received it on the left and crossed low to David’s beat, the ball deflected in the defense and went out in a corner.
Rafael was demanded again in the 25th minute, when Retegui recovered the ball and came out in the face of the São Paulo goalkeeper, who made another good save; at 29, it was Castro’s turn to risk from outside the area for a new intervention by shirt number 23.
