The Head of the Empat Lawang Police, AKBP Helda Prayitno, through the Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP M Tohirin, said the robbery case began when Linca and the victim were introduced to a cafe and they exchanged phone numbers.
“Linca is known to be a singer and has known the victim for about 10 days. From that introduction the communication between the two continued,” he said, Friday (6/4/2023).
Then the two agreed to meet at a hotel in the Tebing Tinggi area, Empat Lawang, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Previously, Linca had planned a robbery with his girlfriend and 3 other colleagues. “At that time, the victim was invited by the Linca perpetrators to meet his friend at the Pendopo sub-district blood, they went to use the victim’s Toyota Yaris,” he said.
Upon arrival at the location, Linca’s friend was not there. They then decided to return to the Tebing Tinggi area.
“However, in the middle of the road the car they were traveling in suffered a tire burst. When it stopped, four perpetrators were using another vehicle and immediately approached the victim,” he said.
Tohirin said that at that time the victim was pointed at with a firearm by this unknown person. Then, forced into the car.
“The victim’s hands were tied with duct tape, his eyes were also blindfolded. The perpetrators took him round and round and confiscated his money,” he said.
Then, the victim was also forced to reveal his ATM pin number, and his savings balance of IDR 6 million was drained.
