Technology brand Satechi has expanded its product lineup with the introduction of the ChargeView 240W Desktop Charger, serving as a successor to the 140W ChargeView model released previously. Designed for professionals and creators with demanding multi-device setups, the new desktop accessory delivers a total output of 240W distributed across six USB-C ports.

The unit features an integrated color LCD display that provides live per-port wattage readings for all connected electronics simultaneously. According to Brock Guclu, co-founder and president of Satechi, the display allows users to verify that devices are charging at full speed without unplugging or second-guessing.
Guclu noted that the original 140W model established a demand for visible desktop power clarity, prompting the company to scale up the concept.

The 240W total power budget is dynamically managed by an intelligent power controller that auto-detects individual device requirements and balances the output across active connections. When a new device is plugged in, the charger redistributes power, which can result in a momentary interruption in charging.
The six USB-C ports are rated with varying maximum capacities:
- Ports C1 and C2: Deliver up to 140W each via USB PD 3.2 EPR AVS, supporting fast charging for devices such as the iPhone 17 series and later, alongside USB PD 3.0 PPS compatibility for the Samsung Galaxy S25+, Google Pixel 9+, and other supported hardware.
- Ports C3 and C4: Deliver up to 100W each utilizing USB PD 3.0 PPS.
- Ports C5 and C6: Deliver up to 30W each using USB PD 3.0 PPS.
Because maximum power levels depend on active usage, utilizing all six ports simultaneously splits the total energy pool. For example, filling every port divides the output configuration into 70W, 70W, 30W, 30W, 20W, and 20W allocations. The system is powerful enough to handle simultaneous tasks like charging dual MacBook Pros alongside tablets, smartphones, and accessories.
GaN Technology and Design Features
Manufactured by the San Diego-based company, the ChargeView 240W Desktop Charger is powered by next-generation Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology. This internal architecture enables a compact footprint and allows the device to operate entirely without a fan, delivering silent performance without heat buildup or workspace noise.
The device is styled in a Space Black shade featuring a metallic matte finish paired with a glossy borderless display cover. This aesthetic is intended to complement Apple hardware like the MacBook Pro and Studio Display, as well as general dark-palette office environments.
