Kuala Lumpur: India’s Sathviksairaj and Chirag Shetty lost in Malaysia Open badminton doubles semi-final.
The Malaysian Open ‘Super 750’ Badminton Series is taking place in Kuala Lumpur. In the semi-finals of the men’s doubles, India’s pair of Satviksairaj and Chirag Shetty faced China’s Wei Geng Liang and Chang Wang. After losing the first set 16-21, the Indian pair bounced back to win the second set 21-11. The Indian pair cheated in the third set to decide the winner and trailed 15–21.
Satviksairaj and Chirag lost 16–21, 21–11, 15–21 in the one hour and 4 minute match. This ended the participation of Indian stars in the series. Sindhu, Seina, Srikanth, Pranai, Laksaya Sen and others have already failed.
