According to Berlingske magazine, Danish science journalist Lars Henrik Ogor has stated that such a phenomenon as supervuklan is a natural threat to life on Earth.
The journalist recently published his work entitled “The Big Evil Book of Catastrophes”, in which he just describes this phenomenon.
According to the journalist, the eruption of such a volcano 75 thousand years ago on the island of Sumatra led to the fact that vast territories were covered with a layer of lava, soot and ash. And the clouds formed from the ash completely covered most of Asia from sunlight for a whole year.
“In this 400-meter layer, all plants and animals within a radius of several hundred kilometers from the volcano were buried forever,” Ogora said in his article.
