Injuries continue to plague TSV 1860 Munich as Sean Dulic and Maximilian Wolfram sustained setbacks during a 4-1 victory over FC Winterthur, potentially jeopardizing their availability for the upcoming match against Rot-Weiss Essen.
Key Defender Dulic Faces Potential Absence
Following captain Verlaat’s mid-week injury during training, another central defender, Sean Dulic, was forced off the pitch during the test match against FC Winterthur after a collision. The 20-year-old’s injury—believed to be either a strain or a muscle fiber tear—could keep him sidelined for next Saturday’s game against Rot-Weiss Essen.
Dulic has been a consistent presence in the Lions’ defense, having played every minute of the first half of the season. Fortunately, Raphael Schifferl and Morris Schröter both made their comebacks during the match against Winterthur, providing some defensive depth.
Wolfram Also Exits Early
In addition to Dulic, Maximilian Wolfram also had to leave the game prematurely. The substitute, formerly with Verl, suffered muscular problems a few minutes before the final whistle, forcing the Lions to finish the match with ten players.
Unlike Haugen, Deniz, Christiansen, Pfeifer, Verlaat, and Dulic, the left winger is expected to be fit enough to contend for a spot in the matchday squad by next Saturday.
