A massive content drop is set to redefine the Call of Duty experience, as Activision has unveiled details for Season 2 of both black Ops 7 and Warzone, launching February 5th. The update promises a wealth of new maps, modes, competitive features, and a significant overhaul to Rebirth Island, signaling a substantial evolution for both titles.
Black Ops 7: A deep Dive into Avalon
Season 2 for Black Ops 7 introduces the “Endgame” storyline centered around Avalon, and a new threat embodied by The Guild. Players will encounter “Guild Assaults” – random events transforming locations into challenging “Nightmare Zones” culminating in battles against powerful Raid Bosses offering high-level rewards.
New skills are also being implemented, starting with “Eagle Eye” skills focused on accuracy and critical damage. “Sentinel Protocol” (support) and “Blood Burner” (mobility) will follow mid-season, expanding player customization options.beyond standard gameplay, “Glitches” will unlock extra-map experiences after defeating Raid Bosses, featuring survival waves and unique “Nightmare Skills” as

Mid-season will introduce “Paradox Junction” as a map playable by rounds, alongside a new score streak and the “GobbleGum Turncoat,” which allows players to turn zombies into allies. Competitive events with leaderboards for Mars Survival and Dead Ops Arcade will offer opportunities to unlock exclusive camos.
Warzone: Rebirth Island Reimagined and Beyond
Call of Duty: Warzone is undergoing a dramatic change with a complete winter rework of Rebirth Island. Now covered in snow and controlled by The Guild, the island features new structures like the Turbine, altered terrain, and redesigned combat zones.
New gameplay mechanics include Footprints in the Snow, Dynamic Infiltration Events (such as gas explosions and Blizzards), classic loot with hidden blueprints, a Smoke Screen streak, and improved vehicle routing. Competitive Resurgence matches will be held in Haven’s Hollow, utilizing CDL-inspired rules and offering exclusive rewards. Limited Time Modes (LTMs) such as Loaded Resurgence, Rush Resurgence, Extreme Resurgence, and a beta version of Iron Gauntlet will also be available.
A new Battle Royale experience and the arrival of the Avalon map to Warzone are slated for mid-season.
Global Content Across All Modes
Season 2 introduces seven new weapons across all game modes: the EGRT-17 Assault Rifle,REV-46 SMG,H311-SAW melee Weapon (available in the Battle Pass),GDL Havoc Special,SG-12 Shotgun,Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle,and Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle. New weapon accessories, including conversions and chassis, will further enhance customization.
the new Battle Pass and BlackCell offering are also launching, featuring plans, skins, cards, and gestures. BlackCell subscribers will gain access to the exclusive operator “Phantom” and thier “Eclipse” skin. Weekly and general challenges,mode events,and the Escalation Directive Event will provide opportunities to unlock multiple weapon camos. New store offerings, including the Tracer Pack: Shadow Strike featuring the “Midnight Reaper” blueprint for the EGRT-17, will also be available.
