Second-hand car sales fell by 7% in the Girona regions in November, a trend contrary to that recorded in Catalonia as a whole. According to data from the Fecavemlast month they were sold 3,155 used vehicles in the regions of Girona. It is expected to close the year with around 35,000 cars of this type, a figure similar to last year.
In Catalonia as a whole, the forecast, with just a few weeks to go before the end of 2022, is that the 285,000 units sold will be reduced. The used to new vehicle ratio has gone from 2.2 in 2020 to 2.8 used for a new one this yeara figure which, according to Fecavem, “highlights the growing interest of the used market”.
The employer also points out that sales of cars less than a year old, known as automatic registrations, have risen this month, a figure that represents a change in trend. “There is a recovery in the stock of passenger cars due to the improvement in deliveries of new passenger cars”, points out Fecavem, who also points out that the average price moderates its year-on-year growth.
