Srinagar: Security forces killed four militants in separate clashes in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested two terrorists in connection with the Pulwama blast. Assessing the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Secretary directed to take steps to ensure the security of the people.

The clashes took place at Pombhai and Gopalpora in Kulgam. Afakh, commander of the terrorist organization TRF, was killed by the army during a clash in Gopalpora. Police say he was involved in attacks on civilians in the area.

Weapons were also recovered from the terrorists. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two terrorists who were targeting a blast in Pulwama. Police said explosives and weapons were seized from them. Two CRPF jawans and two civilians were injured in a terrorist attack on security forces in Baramulla. Attempts by terrorists to infiltrate through the Uri forest area were foiled by the army.

Meanwhile, a meeting chaired by the Union Home Secretary to discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir was directed to take steps to ensure the security of the people. A team of officials from agencies, including the NIA, which has experience operating in Kashmir, will also be deployed to prevent civilians from being targeted by terrorists. They will also take steps to thwart the activities of terrorists using technology. It is learned that the situation where two businessmen were killed in a clash last day was discussed at the meeting.
