by time news

The UN has accused its security officers of taking photos with the Taliban flag. Apologized.

In Afghanistan, the Taliban have banned girls from studying in secondary schools and universities, working in women’s charities, and using parks and gyms.

In this case, UN A 3-member delegation headed by Deputy General Secretary Ameena Mohammad went on a 4-day visit to Afghanistan. The group met Taliban leaders and expressed concern over the ban on women.

Meanwhile, while Amina Mohammad was meeting and talking to the Taliban leaders, some of the UN security officers took pictures with the Taliban flag. The photo went viral on social media.

In this regard, Fahan Huq, the Deputy Spokesperson of the UN Secretary General in New York City, USA, told reporters on Friday:

Amina was invited by the UN to meet with Taliban leaders. Security officials took him away. Then the officials were waiting in the room next to the room where the meeting took place. A photograph was then taken with the Taliban flag. That photo definitely shouldn’t have been taken. For this the UN Apologizes.
