The developer of railway, airport and highway projects Centralny Port Komunikacyjny, CPK, has announced the layout chosen for the Poznan branch of the proposed Y-shaped high-speed rail network Warsaw-Ldz-Sieradz-Wrocław/Poznan.

The chosen variant will have 155 kilometers of high-speed line and other connection lines that will bring the total length of the new route to 220 kilometers. It will be designed to operate at 350 km/h, although initially the services will run up to 250 km/h. .
CPK’s general program calls for the construction of 2,000 kilometers of new lines across Poland, with the aim of placing most of the large cities within two and a half hours of Warsaw and the central airport. of the layout for a high-speed line of 140 kilometers, between Warsaw and Lodz, and another of two hundred, between Lodz and Wroclaw.
