“Shadow Day” Registration Opens for Employers, Student Applications Follow

This year’s event will benefit from a new platform powered by the AUGT Foundation education. Students will be able to quickly and easily identify suitable opportunities published on the website. A key feature is a new vacancy test, requiring just 11 questions to help young people pinpoint their interests and align them with compatible professions.

Strong participation in 2025 Signals Continued Demand

The previous Shadow Day, held in 2025, saw remarkable engagement, with over 2,000 organizations participating and offering a total of 13,000 shadowing opportunities. the most sought-after professions among students included police inspector (324 applications), firefighter (nearly 200 applications), and lawyer (173 applications). This data underscores the continued demand for practical career exposure among Latvia’s youth.

The initiative represents a vital link between the education system and the professional world, empowering students to make informed choices and pursue fulfilling careers.
