The worst impression is caused by the photos that were made public about the Carnival in Moraitika, which have escaped any limit of satire and move on the border of homophobia and sexism.
At the very least, the choice to put as Carnival in this year’s carnival a caricature (and a bad one at that) of the leader of the official opposition with a photo in place of the face heavily painted on the lips, women’s underwear and open legs with the genitals standing out and the crowd dancing circle around him! The sardonic impression has nothing to do with the choice of a politician for public ridicule, after all, in Carnival everything is allowed, but for the choice to satirize this political figure not for his actions, choices or decisions but for his sexual orientation.
Even more disappointing is that the organizers, according to the poster of the event, include a school parents’ and guardians’ association and cultural associations, who were obviously aware of the wrong choice.
Although, as it turned out, a large part of the crowd at least tolerated the “creation”, there were not a few who commented negatively on social networks about the image of the vulgar personal attack against not a political leader but a man who, as far as this particular depiction is concerned, the only thing he did was to be open with his personal sexual choice.
