Sydney’s iconic Bondi has banned visitors to several beaches, including Bronde, following the killing of a man in a Sydney shark attack. It’s been 60 years since such a shark attack in Sydney. Officials said the drone was deployed on beaches to monitor the sharks. Drum lines for trapping sharks have been set up in and around the attack site.

The shark attack comes just days before the annual Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim. Sydney was shocked by the attack last Wednesday. A man was brutally attacked by a shark while swimming on Little Bay Beach. Eyewitnesses say the attack was carried out by a giant Great White shark about 15 feet long. Authorities have not released the name of the deceased.
