At least one 42-year-old woman has died and two other people – a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old teenager – have been injured during a shooting in the Hackney district, in the city of London, the capital of the United Kingdom.
The London Metropolitan Police announced this Tuesday night that it is carrying out a research by murder and that at the moment no arrests have been made.
“This shocking event has resulted in the death of a young woman, (…) we are still in the early stages of the investigation, and a team of specialists are working to clarify what happened. Officers will remain at the crime scene for night and will be in the area for the next few days,” said Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall in a statement from the Metropolitan Police.
The agents received a call for a shooting at 6:28 p.m. local time this Tuesday, so a group of officers went to the scene along with a team of paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. The two injured have been taken to a hospital.
“I understand that the community will want answers about what happened this afternoon. We will share more information as our investigations progress.
