Sigma Olomouc is aggressively bolstering its squad following the departure of star striker Daniel Vašulín, targeting Sparta Prague loanee Sejko and Croatian midfielder Krivak in a significant transfer push. The club is poised to capitalize on a potential profit-making deal involving Heerenven and is simultaneously pursuing talent from across Europe.
Sigma Olomouc faces an immediate need to reinforce its attacking options after Vašulín’s return to his boyhood club, Pilsen. To address this, the club is exploring the possibility of acquiring Sejko, currently on loan at Dutch side Heerenven from Sparta Prague. A senior official stated that the club is “addressing the possibility of exercising the option and selling Sejko to Sigma in such a way that the Dutch entity has a profit in the transaction.”
Heerenven Set to Profit from Sejko Transfer
Heerenven currently holds an option to purchase Sejko for 30 million Czech crowns. However, Sigma Olomouc has reportedly submitted a bid of nearly 40 million crowns, offering Heerenven a potential profit of 10 million crowns on the deal. Sejko has scored four competition goals this season, making him an attractive prospect for the Czech club.
The potential transfer represents a shrewd piece of business for Heerenven, allowing them to quickly recoup their investment and generate a substantial profit. It also provides Sigma Olomouc with an established player to fill the void left by Vašulín’s departure.
Sigma Olomouc Targets Croatian Talent Krivak
Sigma’s recruitment drive doesn’t end with Sejko. The club has already secured Slovenian winger Danijel Šturm from Celje and is now focusing on adding a dynamic midfielder to its ranks. According to Italian journalist Lorenzo Lepore, Sigma is on the verge of signing Krivak, a 20-year-old talent currently playing for Lokomotiv Zagreb.
Krivak, a member of the Croatian under-21 national team, has impressed this year, scoring three goals and providing one assist for Lokomotiv Zagreb. Sigma Olomouc is prepared to pay approximately 50 million crowns for the promising midfielder, excluding any potential bonuses.
This aggressive pursuit of talent signals Sigma Olomouc’s ambition to compete at the highest level and demonstrates a proactive approach to squad building. The club’s swift response to Vašulín’s departure underscores its commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in the Czech First League.
