Frankfurt Postbank is confronted with significantly more complaints from customers. At the Bonn Regional Court, the headquarters of the Deutsche Bank subsidiary, the number of lawsuits against the institute has skyrocketed this year. According to the court, there were 74 lawsuits against Postbank throughout last year; as of September 8, 2023, the court had already registered 214 lawsuits.
It is not clear from the figures whether the significant increase can be attributed to the sometimes massive problems in customer business following an IT change. Some investor lawyers are now taking legal action against Postbank because of the difficulties. Deutsche Bank did not comment on the lawsuits against the subsidiary or their background. However, she emphasized that she was already seeing improved processing times and a decreasing backlog of inquiries in many areas.
