(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 10 – Five years after their last Italian live, Sigur Rós are back next autumn for two shows: October 3 in Padua at the Kioene Arena and October 4, 2022 in Milan at the Mediolanum Forum. The Icelandic band has announced the first dates of a long world tour, the first in almost five years, which will start next April from Mexico and then arrive in Europe starting from Portugal. After nine years of silent recording, interrupted by the single publication in 2020 of “Odin’s Raven Magic”, the orchestral version of the Icelandic poem Hrafnagaldr ÓÑins, the band is writing and recording the new album in the studio and will contain new songs and live along with materials from the their 25-year discography. Founding members of Sigur Rós, Jónsi and Georg Holm, reunited, both in the studio and on tour, with former member Kjartan Sveinsson, who had moved away to focus on other projects. (HANDLE).
