Next week promises to be explosive in Plouguerneau in the north from Finistere where six German bombs of World War II will be countermined offshore. Discovered by the group of clearance divers of the French Navy, these explosive devices of the type Air Marine Boom weigh 812 kilos each. The operation, which will take place from May 31 to June 3, will require the movement of munitions before they explode.

As a safety measure and to prevent any risk of damage to persons and property, the maritime prefecture of the Atlantic has issued an order for the duration of the intervention. All navigation will thus be prohibited within a radius of 2.5 kilometers around the explosive devices during the lifting and towing phases and 1.5 kilometers during the transport and countermine phases.

Swimming and water activities will also be prohibited within a 4.1 kilometer radius. Finally, it will be impossible to walk on the coast from May 31 to June 2 in the municipalities of Plouguerneau and Guissény.
