His poor performance disappointed a Norwegian ski racer. He took out his frustration on his ski pole.

The Norwegian skier Alexander Steen Olsen took out his frustration about the second run on one of his ski poles – in front of the camera. He had put in a good performance in the giant slalom in the first run and was in third place.

The 29-year-old apparently had problems in the second round, didn’t really get into the rhythm and ended up in ninth place. Frustrated by his performance, he knocked his ski pole short and small at a barrier.

This was recorded by a camera from the Eurosport broadcaster. After his tantrum, he threw away what was left of the neon green stick. Olsen finished the World Cup in 6th place after ten races.

The Swiss Loic Millard won the race in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The best German was Alexander Schmid in 15th place. Things got even worse for ski racer Marco Odermatt. The Swiss was eliminated from the season finale in the second round – after nine wins in nine races this season in his specialist discipline.

From a German perspective, Lena Dürr also experienced disappointment, as she only came 15th in the final women’s slalom when US star Mikaela Shiffrin won. A small consolation was that she climbed into second place behind Shiffrin in the overall slalom ranking, just past the injured Slovakian Petra Vlhova.
