SkyDrive, agreement with Osaka. Supply of flying cars for Expo 2025

All’Expo 2025 in Osaka will see flying cars. This is the goal of SkyDrive, which has signed an agreement with the Japanese city for the supply of a flying mobility service through personal electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The first prototypes can be admired at the Osaka exhibition in four years. The deal was announced at a press conference at the Tokyo Foreign Press Club. The idea is that SkyDrive’s flying cars can be used for mobility as part of the Osaka World Expo scheduled for 2025.

Last month SkyDrive announced it had launched a feasibility study for its flying taxi service in the Osaka area. According to Tomohiro Fukuzawa, the CEO and president of the company, the most important aspect is to create a sense of “social acceptance and security in people’s minds”.
