Teen Arrested After Stabbing Two Others During Drug and Alcohol Deal in Port Orchard

A 15-year-old boy from port Orchard, Washington, has been arrested following a violent altercation Thursday night that left a 16-year-old with serious injuries. the incident,stemming from an attempted purchase of alcohol and marijuana,highlights the dangers of arranging transactions with strangers through social media.
Authorities responded to a convenience store in the 3200 block of SE Lund Ave in Port Orchard around 11:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Snapchat-Arranged Deal Turns Violent
According to the Kitsap County SheriffS Office, the two 16-year-olds initiated contact with the 15-year-old suspect via Snapchat to arrange the purchase of illicit substances. The teens agreed to meet at the convenience store, but the deal quickly devolved into a confrontation.
The 15-year-old arrived with marijuana but did not have the alcohol the teens had requested. This discrepancy reportedly sparked an argument that escalated into a physical fight. During the struggle, the 15-year-old allegedly produced a knife and stabbed one of the 16-year-olds in the chest.
Serious Injuries,Swift Arrest
Deputies,along with officers from the port Orchard Police department,arrived on the scene and promptly took the 15-year-old into custody.The injured 16-year-old was transported to a hospital in Tacoma for treatment and is expected to recover.
“the swift response from both agencies was crucial in securing the suspect and providing immediate medical attention to the victim,” a senior official stated.
