Qualcomm is rumored to be working on its next chipset – Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. A new report says that the chipset will debut with an Oppo smartphone.
The well-known digital chatting station has dropped a new leak indicating that Oppo will be the first smartphone brand to launch Qualcomm’s upcoming first-generation Snapdragon 7 phone.

The Oppo Reno 8 smartphone that will succeed the ongoing Reno 7 series.
Leaks and rumors about the Reno 9 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 have surfaced on the internet revealing some key specifications related to them.
For starters, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will be positioned below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the company’s flagship chipset. Besides, the chipset is expected to offer slightly modified performance compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The digital chat station also indicated in its leak that the Reno 8 will feature a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and it is expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for SuperVOOC fast charging.
Regarding the camera, the smartphone is expected to come with a 32MP front camera sensor and a 50MP primary sensor.
The company also mentioned that the Reno 8 may come with the company’s own MariSiliconX image processor. The image processor was first introduced in the Oppo Find X5 Pro.
