Riyadh: The first social club for the elderly is launched in Saudi Arabia. The Social Club was started by the Eastern Regional Municipality of Saudi Arabia. Tourist spots, squares, cafes, restaurants, sportswear games and public squares are waiting at the social club for the elderly.

The club’s main mission is to enable and support seniors to participate in activities and events in line with Vision 2030’s recommendations, and to promote leisure and tourism activities in the region.

The project is in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, said Mohammed al-Sofian, an official spokesman for the Eastern Region Municipality, in an interview with Al Iqbaria TV channel on Friday.

These projects will have a positive impact on the living standards of residents and visitors in the Eastern Province. These will be more needed for the elderly and their families.
