Puducherry: Under the ‘Smart City’ scheme at Puducherry Marina Beach, Rs. Solar LED lights have been installed at a cost of 1.2 crores.
Under the ‘Smart City’ project, a tarmac road was laid from Puducherry Marina Beach to Mukathuwaram on the 8th. On both sides of this tarred road Rs. 45 solar LED lights have been installed at a cost of 1.2 crores. Smart City Chief Executive Officer Arun, Joint Secretary Sudhakar, Chief Engineer Murali, Manager Thiagarajan, Subparayalu and Rajendran inspected this work.
Newly installed solar lights attract tourists. This is the first time that long distance LED and solar lights have been installed in Puducherry. Smart city officials said that solar lights will be installed in other areas gradually.
