While the authorities assure that Cuba has “the best police in the world,” murders continue to claim the lives of innocent people. A young man murdered his father on a motorcycle in Santiago de Cuba.

This parricide occurred this Sunday night in the Quintero neighborhood of the Santiago town.

According to the information revealed by journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrda, a person who went to the house where the murder occurred said that the son suffocated the father by an engine.

“For a while now the son was asking for the engine and the father did not want to give it to him and he threatened the father that if he did not give him the engine he would kill him and the old man had not slept for three days out of fear, he even slept with a machete next to him.” from his bed and the son arrived around 10:30 today and played music at full volume, something that never happens and it killed him,” the publication reads.

The victim responded to the name of Leonardo Galbán alias “El Blanco”, while the murderer is called Frank Leonardo Galbán Guerra, 32 years old.

According to the complaint, the criminal lived with his grandmother Juanita in the Rajayoga neighborhood and often visited his father in Quintero, but always with the insistence that he give him the motorcycle, which generated conflict between the two and triggered the tragedy.

It turned out that the father did not want to give the engine to his son, for fear that he would suffer an accident and lose his life, since the young man allegedly consumed drugs.

This would not be the first time that the son tried to kill his father, as on one occasion he tried to take acid.

This is a new fact of the rising crime and violence rate in Cuba, thanks to the social deterioration and the lack of security on the island.
