Tronstad played a decisive role for his own team in what ended up being an easy victory against the club shared by actor-stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Wrexham pulled ahead before half-time, but on the eve of the half, Tronstad sent team-mate Sammie Szmodics through the visitors’ defence. Alone with the goalkeeper, he made no mistakes and scored the 3-1 goal.
It took the air out of the Wrexham balloon.
In the second half, at the same time, Tronstad had more in stock. Barely an hour had been played when he hammered home 4-1 and celebrated with a rare roar of jubilation.
