A Legacy Built on Dedication and Collaboration
Soobin Hoang Son’s career, spanning almost a decade and a half, has been marked by both triumphs and challenges. Reflecting on this journey, the artist stated, “Over the past 15 years, we have had successes and difficulties. Getting to where we are today has been a long road filled with effort and dedication.” He underscored that a genuine love for music is the driving force that sustains artists through adversity. “Music is our only goal. I feel privileged to be part of this group,” he added.
The artist collective officially formalized it’s structure in 2020, building on years of informal collaboration. Looking back at the past five years, Soobin described the connection with fellow Spacespeakers artists as “obvious,” noting their long-standing friendships and mutual support. “We have been friends and bound by unbreakable bonds since we were very young, and today, each has a happy family and a stable job; it’s priceless,” he shared.
The Guiding Principle: Loving the Music
Soobin credited musician and producer Hoang Touliver with imparting a crucial career lesson: “You shouldn’t worry about anything else; your job is to love music, and you should all remember that.” This advice, Soobin explained, has been instrumental to his success. “This is the principle that guides my work and explains my success so far: loving music. There are things you shouldn’t worry about, just put them aside. The main thing is the music and doing it well. Because music is the response to the public, to those who love me, and it has the power to conquer them,” he confided.
Welcoming the Next Generation: FIRSTGENE
The event also served as a platform to showcase the rising stars of the Spacespeakers label, the group FIRSTGENE, comprised of LEZII, StillaD, SUGI, BIKAY, and Wishty Eazy. Soobin expressed his enthusiasm following their performance, drawing parallels to his own beginnings. “after seeing your performance,I was very moved. What FIRSTGENE offered today is similar to the feeling we had when we first started: each of us in a different place, with different jobs and personalities, but brought together by our love of music, making music together with the aim of creating great music,” he said.
Wishty Eazy, representing FIRSTGENE,conveyed the group’s desire for audiences to recognize their passion, gratitude, and commitment to artistic growth.
