New Delhi: BCCI President and former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has been elected chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket Committee.
Ganguly succeeds his teammate Anil Kumble as head of the ICC Cricket Committee. Kumble thanked ICC chairman Greg Barclays for his nine years in office.
Ganguly, one of India’s all-time great captains, has been doing well in cricket administration since his retirement. Ganguly was the President of the Bengal Cricket Association from 2015-2019 and was elected President of the BCCI in October 2019.
