The British newspaper “Financial Times”, citing sources, reported this week that NATO and European Union (EU) countries are urging Greece and Spain to provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems.
This issue was discussed on Monday in Luxembourg at a meeting of EU foreign and defense ministers.
Kyiv has appealed to its Western allies to provide it with at least seven more air defense systems.
EU leaders at a summit in Brussels last week directly appealed to the Prime Ministers of Spain and Greece with an invitation to hand over part of their systems to Ukraine, the newspaper’s interlocutors said.
“We all know who has them, we all know where they are and we all know who really needs them,” said one of the paper’s sources.
