Madrid: Real Madrid reached the final of the Spanish Super Copa football tournament by beating Valencia in the semi-final penalty shootout. The shootout was called for when the two teams were tied 1-1 at the scheduled time of the match at the King Fahd International Stadium. Royal won the shootout with a score of 4-3.

In the 39th minute, Karim Benzema put Real ahead in the match through a penalty. Real led with this goal in the first half. Valencia equalized in the first minute of the second half through Samuel Lino. The game went to a shootout after no one scored in the regular 90 minutes and 30 minutes of extra time.

In the shootout, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio scored kicks for Real, while Erre Komert, who took the second kick for Valencia, and Jose Gaya, who took the fifth kick, missed. Koutwo was also impressive in regulation time and made several saves.

Real Madrid will face the winners of the second semi-final between Barcelona and Real Betis in Sunday’s final.
