Heavy fighting continues in Bakhmut. Yevgeny Prigozhin’s statement about the shortage of shells in the private military company Wagner is a bluff. This was stated by the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty in a comment to CNN.
– Now they fire more than 20 thousand shells a day. Therefore the words Evgenia Prigozhina “It’s a complete bluff,” he said.
Sergei Cherevaty also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine still hold part of Bakhmut.
– Nothing has changed there, the positional war continues. The enemy did not achieve any major breakthrough,” the speaker said.
It should be noted that the other day the leader of Wagner, Prigozhin, after a long break, resumed harsh criticism of the Russian military command.
Yesterday he announced his intention to withdraw Wagner from Bakhmut on May 10th. A preliminary agreement has already been reached that Kadyrov’s men will take their place.
