The 28th round of the Portuguese first division football championship ends this Monday, April 8th, with the game between Casa Pia and Estoril. The Portuguese League is led by Sporting CP, isolated, with 71 points.

The current champion of Portugal, SL Benfica, lost for the 3rd time in defending their title achieved last year, after being defeated 2-1 by Sporting CP.
Benfica is further and further away from the title
Benfica lost 2-1 at Sporting CP in a game counting for the 28th round of the Portuguese League.
The only goal for the Reds was scored by Danish defender Alexander Bah, while the two goals for the Lions were scored by the Mozambican international, Geny Catamo.
With this triumph, the Sporting fans are in first place with 71 pointsand with one less game, while the Reds remain in 2nd place with 67 points.

FC Porto lost to Vitória de Guimarães
FC Porto was defeated at home, at Estádio do Dragão, 1-2 against Vitória de Guimarães – Vitória Sport Clube.
The only goal for the Dragons was scored by the Brazilian Wenderson Galeno, while the two goals for the Guimarães were scored by Wenderson Galeno, in his own goal, and by the Portuguese striker Jota Silva.
The Porto players occupy third place with 58 points, nine behind Benficawhile Vitória de Guimarães is in 5th place with 56 points, two behind FC Porto.
It should be noted that the Sporting de Braga occupies fourth place with 56 points, after the 0-3 home defeat against Arouca. The Arouquenses’ goals were scored by Braga defender Serdar Saatci, in his own goal, and by Spaniard Rafa Mujica, who scored twice.
The Braga team fell at home, despite last week, at the end of the 27th round, having achieved a 3-5 victory against Portimonense, in the last game as Braga coach of Artur Jorge who left for the Brazilian team Botafogo.
Finally, the other results: Farense 2-0 Boavista, Rio Ave 3-0 Gil Vicente, Famalicão 3-2 Vizela, Chaves 2-3 Portimonense and Moreirense 2-2 Estrela da Amadora.
The 29th round of the Portuguese league takes place between the 12th and 15th of April.
