Sri Lanka in deep economic crisis .. Australian team to tour announced!

The Australian cricket team that will tour and play in Sri Lanka has been announced.

The Australian team is scheduled to play in Sri Lanka in June and July. Both teams are to play in the series with 3D20, 5 ODIs and 2 Tests.

Aaron Finch has been named captain of the Australian T20 and ODI squad, while Pat Cummins has been named captain of the Test team. Cummins has been ruled out of the T20 series and Marcus Harris has been dropped from the Test squad.

Hazlewood, David Warner, Mitchell Stark, Steven Smith, Maxwell and Matthew Wade have all returned to the squad. Adam Zamba has pulled out of the series after his wife gave birth to a baby boy.

But with Sri Lanka suffering from a severe economic crisis, the question has arisen as to whether this cricket series will take place.

T20 Series:

  • First Match – Colombo (June 7)

  • 2nd Match – Colombo (June 8)
  • 3rd Match – Kandy (June 11)

ODI Series:

  • First ODI – Kandy (June 14)

  • 2nd ODI – Kandy (June 16)
  • 3rd ODI – Colombo (June 19)
  • 4th ODI – Colombo (June 21)
  • 5th ODI – Colombo (June 24)

Test series:

  • First Test – Kale (June 29)

  • Second Test – Kale (July 8)
