Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilak has been accused of strangling an Australian woman during a rape.
Dhanushka has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman while in Australia for the 2020 Cricket World Cup.
During this, documents have been submitted in the court that the girl was strangled and on the suspicion that she might have suffered a brain injury, the woman was subjected to a brain scan at the hospital.

It is also revealed that at some point during the sexual intercourse, the woman suffered from suffocation.
In this case, while the bail application on behalf of Gunathilaka was rejected in the court, he was detained.
His case will be heard next January.
