Colombo: The Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament has said that Sri Lankan President Gotabaya is in a neighboring country. At the same time, he did not disclose his whereabouts.

People are protesting because of the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. On the last 9th, the President’s House was besieged and the protest took place. After this, Gotabaya left the President’s House. In the all-party meeting held that day, a resolution was passed that he should resign. Gotabaya had said that he would accept this and resign soon.

In this case, Sri Lankan Speaker Abeywardhana Yaba said that Gotabaya left Sri Lanka. He is said to be staying in a nearby country. At the same time, he did not disclose the whereabouts of Gotabaya.
