In the all-party meeting held that day, a resolution was passed that he should resign. Gotabaya had said that he would accept this and resign soon.
In this case, Sri Lankan Speaker Abeywardhana Yaba said that Gotabaya left Sri Lanka. He is said to be staying in a nearby country. At the same time, he did not disclose the whereabouts of Gotabaya.
