BAMA President Anbumani Ramadoss said that Sri Lanka’s ban on the arrival of the Chinese spy ship is welcome.
In this regard, he said on his Twitter page: Due to the continuous pressure given by the Indian Foreign Ministry, the Sri Lankan government has banned the arrival of the Chinese Yuan Wang-5 spy ship at Ambanthotai port. This is a welcome move from India’s security point of view.
Pamaka had urged the central government to warn the Sri Lankan government not to allow the Chinese spy ship into Sri Lankan ports. Accordingly, it is gratifying that the arrival of the Chinese ship has been stopped.
According to the 1987 agreement, Sri Lankan soil should not be used for activities against the unity and security of India. Anbumani said that the central government should ensure that Sri Lanka respects the agreement.
